Get Square with Mosaic

Welcome to mosaic in a square way.  Laura will guide you through the steps to create a simple 4x4 mosaic and then a darling heart mosaic.  This class  is designed by Laura for the Absolute Beginner. The next project called Simple Mosaic Mirror, will take you through the steps to create a beautiful mosaic mirror.  This project will also provide patterns exclusively for the retreat, and designed just for you! There might even be an extra surprise at the end of the class.

This workshop will cover all the basic information for the beginning student, starting with the first portion of 4 x 4 tile projects. Once you gain your confidence, you can choose to create the mirror project as well. Kits are available for purchase, choose which ones you'd like to do.

You will learn about the process of creating a mosaic piece; cutting, adhesion, and tile layout. Students will be introduced to materials such as glass tile, art glass, china, ceramic tile, and more. Students are encouraged to experiment with color and texture to discover the possibilities of mosaic. The supply list included will provide a resource for vendors. Let’s get ready to have fun!
